Greetings from all of us here at Serenity Now, I (Brooke) was guided to watch the movie Free Guy with Ryan Reynolds the other day. In case you have not seen the movie, the clip about it says, “When a bank teller discovers he’s a background player in a video game, he decides to become the hero of his own game--- one that he can rewrite himself. In a world with no limits, he’s determined to save the day his way before its too late.” When I read this description about the movie before watching it, I felt like I was hearing conversations that are often held in the store. We always say, “We are the heroes of our own story”, and also, “We are creating our own experience of reality and the universe is limitless.” My thoughts about how this movie would be right in alignment with the beliefs that we share here at Serenity was confirmed when I heard the speech “Guy”, the main character of the movie, gave. He said, “What if our world doesn’t have to be so scary. What if we can change it. We don’t have to be spectators to our own lives. We can be whatever we want.” I found the movie so empowering, which brings me to the topic of the store. In one of the last emails that we sent, I shared some changes that were unfolding for the store. We are still taking care of some transitional details, but please stay connected. Call or come in.
