I (Brooke) was blessed enough to be introduced to the idea of “it's already set up” during a video by Joel Olsteen. He was relaying the story of Joseph, and the time when his brothers threw him in the pit and basically left him for dead. God being God had other plans for Joseph. A caravan of Ishmaelites arrived and took him to the palace where after some time he became the right-hand man of the Pharaoh. The beautiful thing about these people is that they didn’t just show up out of nowhere. It’s not like they're just going to take an Uber someplace; they had set out months earlier. So Joel was making the point that Joseph's pit to the palace experience was already set up by the Universe.
I had a more current experience of this phenomenon when I was led to watch a documentary about Janet Jackson. She was relaying some childhood stories. She talked about their two bedroom modest home in Gary, Indiana that housed 11 people. The producers asked when the street’s name was changed to Jackson Street. Janet without missing a beat, pun intended, said the street was named Jackson when we moved there. I got chills when I heard that the Infinite was blatantly saying the name Jackson is going to be known all over the world.
I found this idea that our good and our benefit is already set up such a comforting thing. Especially in this day and time where what may be lurking around the corner may be way more than what we could wrap our arms around. Thank goodness we don't have to be hyper-vigilant for danger in the universe that can't wait to unite us with our good. It's already set up.
