NOVEMBER 2020

Updated: Jan 6, 2021

Greetings from all of us here at Serenity Now.

In November I always find myself focused on gratitude. With a day like Thanksgiving, I do a bit of soul searching on the topic. As I was thinking about what I was most grateful for at this time in my life I had one clear answer. It is the love of God (my heavenly Father), and the moments that I have allowed that love to be manifested and experienced in my life.

Wouldn’t you know it, just a few hours after this realization I found a YouTube video titled, I kid you not, Father’s Love letter: an intimate message from God to you. The first words were “My child” from Psalm 139:1. “You were made in my image” (Genesis 1:27). “In me you live and move and have your being” (Acts 17:28). (Oprah’s favorite Bible verse by the way.) “I chose you when I planned creation” (Ephesians 1:11-12). “You are fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). “I have been misrepresented by those who don’t know me” (John 8:41-44). “I am not distant and angry, but am the complete expression of love” (1 John 4:16). “And it is my desire to lavish my love on you, simply because you are my child and I am your Father” (I John 3:1). “Every good gift that you receive comes from my hand” (James 1:17). “For I am your provider and I meet all your needs” (Mathew 6:31-33).

If you can imagine these loving words spoken by a beautiful voice, background music that seemed straight from heaven, and scenery that was a feast for your eyes. I have to admit, I shed a few tears because my heart felt touched.

I guess for me this month I want to put my attention on all the things I am grateful for, and maybe use some of these Bible verses as mantras. I feel like all of us can use a pick me up.

Please keep us in mind for your holiday shopping. This is the first time that we will be going through this experience. Let us navigate these uncharted waters together.
