Greetings from all of us here at Serenity Now.
I (Brooke) am fascinated by the “supernatural”. When I hear about events that are called miracles it makes my heart sing.
Working here at Serenity Now, I hear about natural limits being overcome almost on a daily basis. I have heard about chronic pain being gone; terminal disease being eradicated; circumstances of lack being overcome. I find myself wanting more.
The other day I was stepping out with a friend. I looked outside and found the sky was looking pretty dark. My first reaction was to turn on the news to see what the weather was going to be like, but then I consciously stopped myself. I remembered that Jesus had calmed the storm and reminded all of us that we could do whatever he has done and even greater (John 14:12). Then I remembered that A Course in Miracles says that “limitless power” is God’s gift to us (ACIM T-7.VI.10.). With the truth dawning on my mind, I centered myself and said a prayer for everyone that would have been affected negatively by this possible storm that they feel safe and be safe according to their highest good.
In a few minutes I looked outside and the dark clouds had completely vanished. Now, I don’t know if my prayer was the reason for the clear sky, but I would like to think so. I think that what I want for all of us is the experience of miracles being accessible to all of us, and the supernatural being a natural part of our daily lives.
