The other day I was guided to watch a program about the life of Sara Blakely. She is the founder of Spanx and a self-made billionaire. I was amazed (I don't know why) to find out that her father drilled into her the things that we talk about here at Serenity day in and day out.
For example, he taught her that: “Everything that comes your way is an opportunity”. He also gave her the cassette tape by Wayne Dyer titled How to Be a No Limit Person. She was selling fax machines door-to-door, which I imagine would be one of Dante's levels of hell, when she needed an undergarment that left no lines on her clothing. She could find no such thing on the market, so with a bit of rigging she invented the first of what would later be called Spanx, and featured on Oprah.
When I think about my day I realize that it's mostly filled with conversations with people that know about being a no-limit person and that all things are opportunities. However, their experience is equivalent to selling fax machines door to door. I think for me the secret is not to give up on the prize of the experience of being a no-limit person, and let anything else fall away. The success is here for us.
