Although haikus are shorter in length than the average Western poem, they are much more visual in nature and can be more easily adapted for musical interpretation. The music, by multi-instrumentalist Shastro and pianist Nadama, is a mixture of Eastern and Western flavors accented with occasional nature sounds. It is both quietly reflective and deeply expressive - a subtle tapestry of soothing atmospheres for relaxation, contemplation or meditation.
