Created and performed by Benjamin Iobst, the album features an assortment of bowls, varying in size (range from 4-12 inches), origin (Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan) and tonality. Two near half hour tracks are featured, with metal/bamboo chimes ushering in each. The oscillating, vibrational sounds of the bowls has a centering effect on the listener that can either calm one to the point of sleep inducement or bring on the urge to break into devotional chant. This is a great atmosphere CD for home and therapeutic environments.
